• “The Academy building is completely destroyed,” Alpha Hugo quietly informed Alpha Gideon, his voice low as he surveyed the scene. The clearing was crowded with Academy staff, Alpha instructors, wolves, healers, and others, who had gathered, all looking to Alpha Gideon for direction. “The Council is unreachable, and Alpha Austin is nowhere to be found. We can’t make any decisions without the Council’s order. But we can’t just leave everyone here in the middle of the forest or send them back to their packs. It’s the middle of the night and there are she-wolves and children among them.”
