Chapter 42 A Kind Man Part Two

• I can't leave Cami all alone, so Ava volunteered to watch her during her shift at the diner while I go on the blind date. I made her promise not to let Cami out of her sight even for one second, and after a lot of assurances from her part, my worry eased just a tiny bit.
• The cab pulls up in front of the diner Ava worked at, and I slip out of the car, bringing Cami with me. Just as we walk in, Ava quickly approaches at the entrance, her smile wide.
