  • The night air was thick with tension as Kieran adjusted the grip on his gun, the weight of every decision he'd made crashing over him. The old cathedral loomed ahead abandoned, but not empty. Somewhere inside, the last of their enemies waited. The final war was about to be written in blood.
  • Isandro’s fingers brushed against his. “We walk out of this alive, mi amor,” he murmured, voice low but edged in steel. His dark eyes locked onto Kieran’s, fierce and unshakable. “You promised me forever.”
  • Kieran exhaled, the corners of his lips twitching despite the gravity of the moment. “Then I’d better not disappoint.”
