• "What's going on?" Beverly asked, trying to stay calm. But her eyes widened when she saw Sarah and her husband, John, standing behind the officers, a smug look on their faces.
• "You're being accused of assault, ma'am," another officer replied. "We need to take you in for questioning." He added, and Beverly's frown deepened.
