Chapter 51

  • Freya has never let Jake into that aspect of her life or get very personal in whatever discussion she had with him. She wished he could get herself to open up to him but, in as much as she knew very well that Jake loved her, she was afraid of him seeing her as a mere orphan. Moreover, she wasn't secretive. More than her reoccurring nightmare, she had no idea about her past before the Blood Moon Pack. She saw herself growing up there, and whatever she knew was just limited to her time there. Which of course wasn't a good memory that she wished to hold on to for long. The only form of identity she had of whom she might have been before her capture, where she came from and even what her parents looked like, was the brief nightmare she had from time to time. Freya did not know an existing sibling or if any other person from her pack was out there.
  • "Here." Jake passed her a glass of cold water which she hungrily gulped thanks to Jake who helped her to sit upright so that she would choke on the water.
  • "Thank you." She returned the glass, which Jake returned to the kitchen before coming back to her. "I apologize for waking you up this early when I know that you have a busy day."
