Chapter 26

• As I bounded down the stairs slowly, the scent of the bitter rich coffee made me freeze. I let out a breath, the little hairs on my arms standing on end knowing whose face would greet me so early.
• I woke up earlier than usual today seeing that I had the best sleep in days last night. I was now thinking that it was a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I had enough time to get ready for school and a curse because now I had to face father after a few days of not catching a glimpse of his face.
