• The entire house went eerily silent. Jake finally heard faint moaning in the direction of the balcony and immediately realized that something was amiss over there. However, he could clearly see the balcony from the living room itself, and there was no one there.
• When he shifted his gaze back to Sean, the latter abruptly flung the teacup in his hand away and snagged the fruit knife at the side. Flipping the coffee table, the man rushed over to the balcony and grabbed the thick hemp rope on the balustrade while placing the fruit knife against it.
• Jake was almost hit by the overturned coffee table, but luck was on his side, for he dodged quickly enough. He, too, sprinted over to the balcony.
