Chapter 33 Do It

• As badly as I wanted to spend the rest of the morning and afternoon…..hell, the night with Devonte, I knew we had to get back. We had a round in the bed and another in the shower before getting dressed and in the car. I drove us back to the packhouse, wishing that we weren’t walking into a potential mess.
• I come to a stop in front of the packhouse and turn the car off. I take a minute to take a deep breath and notice that Devonte isn’t hurrying out of the car either. I turn to look at him, and he’s looking out the window. I reach over and squeeze his hand. “Having regrets?” Devonte looks at me, and my breath catches, waiting for his answer.
