• Startled by the sudden change in the atmosphere, Drina and Jace raise their faces to the moon, now obscured by a slowly passing cloud. Drina regains her senses first, taking this opportunity to disappear unnoticed. That saves her from answering Jace's delicate question. She's not ready to share her family's secrets with third parties, not even with Beta Jace.
