• I tucked her in gently, brushing her hair away from her beautiful face. Then I leaned over to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. I didn't know what exactly had happened that made her pass out. But it was a relief to know that she wasn't in danger. It was also a bigger relief to know that the walls between us had come crashing down. So much that she'd been willing to let me feed on her.
