Chapter 19

• Abel hadn’t contacted me after our date in the park, claiming he had a lot of work. But I wanted to surprise him, so I decided to go see him that night at the club. Once I entered, I looked around for him but couldn’t find him. I then turned to head towards the dance floor, and that’s when I saw him. My heart stopped in my chest as I watched him walk through the crowd with his hand on the back of a beautiful older woman, probably his own age, tall, with platinum blonde hair. My stomach twisted seeing them together.
• “Has he really ended things with me?” I asked myself. I fought against the emotions threatening to tear me apart as he made his way through the sea of people until he disappeared. I couldn’t help but let the tears fall down my cheek. “That damn idiot,” I muttered. My emotions plummeted, and my sadness turned into anger.
