• Aria was not really in her senses when Jake dragged her towards his car and ushered her inside. He put the seat belt around her with a muscle ticking at his jaw. Closing the door quite aggressively, he walked to the other side and was about to sit inside when Kai called, "Where the hell are you going, asshole?"
• Jake didn't answer. He grimacingly watched him approach while the other followed behind. All their faces held a look that was a mixture of confusion and amusement.
