• Jason held his breath, trying to hear more clearly. The footsteps were getting closer, echoing off the stone hallway walls. Aria was groping the wall next to her, looking for something to use as a weapon. Elias, normally calm, now looked tense, his eyes wildly searching for a way out.
• "We have to go now," Aria whispered.
