Chapter 14 It's Bigger In Real Life
- As I moved closer, slightly to the SUV's left, hiding in the blind spot of the car, I could barely make out the faint shape of someone's head. I drew recognition of the blonde-mopped, coarse face of Neil, sitting leaned back in the driver's seat, his back tilted back so he was almost lying. His grin was wide and self-satisfied, with his eyes closed. He had a small sheen of sweat across his forehead.
- I couldn't see all that much, but I saw his right hand was somewhere in his lap, and that his hand was moving up and down. Almost forcingly, like something was trying to get up and he pushed it back down. Yet, not forceful. Guiding, more like. Letting his hand rise only to deliberately press it down again. There was a certain insistence in his down pushes.
- I moved a bit closer, standing a few feet away to make sure my shadow wouldn't alarm Neil.
