Chapter 5

  • Noah
  • My fingers tapped against the wall as I hummed silently to myself. I reminsiced on my previous trip to Boston on a boat and the sharp smell of chicken soup, I could still taste it at the tip of my tongue. Through the window, I could see the sun slowing setting as if it were going to bed.
  • The chefs at the castle were hell bent on feeding me vegetables. They said it made me more attractive.
  • What a crazy superstition.
  • I was attractive from birth.
  • I took slow steps with my hands spread out in my pants towards nowhere in particular but the pristine smell and the silence that accompanied the large hallways was soothing.
  • I remembered that I had to meet up with dinner, with the entire family, tonight.
  • "Mmm," My thoughts were shattered by the sound of a woman moaning aloud.
  • Was it my pure imagination?
  • I took a step forward and then backward to catch the room where it was coming from. Out of all the numerous rooms to be, I just happened to strolling along the hallways that housed the several royal guest rooms.
  • My curiosity got the best of me and I decided to peep through a half- opened door. My hands suddenly covered my lips as the scene before me unfolded.
  • My dearest uncle, Eli apparently licking his lips at a maid who was bent over a table and was now naked from the waist with her breasts exposed to his lustful gaze. My eyes panicked in trepidation. I shifted away from my current position, careful not to be seen and stood at the side of the door, my eyes drowning in on the entire room.
  • He wrapped his hand around the back of her neck and I didn't stop looking. I was disappointed that he still continued with his reckless chasing after any woman in skirts.
  • And unfortunately, he was married. Married to Lady Eugene, the duchess of Eden whom was classy, decent and a little bit over the top, perfectionist.
  • Eugene knew that her dearest husband was roaming the streets of Midon, picking off any random woman and fucking them without caring about his status as a Prince and she still endured, still looked at him with her pretty dove- eyes and that pissed me off.
  • My nose scrunched up in revulsion as I watched him unbuckle his belt and thrust his hips forwards and throwing his "thing" into her mouth.
  • I placed a finger into my ear and I felt utterly nauseated. How dare he take advantage of a simple maid? I was completely sure that he either coreced her into it by using his status as a Prince. Why couldn't he keep his loins in check. Eli was hell bent on fucking any hole he could find.
  • I watched her in horror as she sucked in his entire rod, trying hard not to gag as his length edged further into her throat.
  • I looked as he ran his fingers over her nipples, squeezing them like little balls till she moaned to his delight. She was moaning and writhing, her back arched up and I, the onlooker who was shaking my head in disbelief.
  • Eli really stooped low this time.
  • "Shit." I muttered under my breath, trying to get the image of Eli touching a maid out of my head. I walked away, my ears bleeding from the moans and yells of "mhmmm" from both parties. I staggered a bit before finding my way towards the royal garden.
  • My lips curved into a smile as my eyes took in the beautiful spectacle before me. My mother always tended to the garden when I wasn't there. It was a form of relaxation to her unlike my sister, Ruby who was allergic to tulips.
  • I had only been away for eight months and all I have done since I got back was nothing.
  • My eyes wandered and my gaze settled on a familiar figure.
  • My aunt, Lady Eugene.
  • She was clad in a green dress with sleeves that covered her flesh up till her wrist. She was still dressed elegantly as always.
  • She was the string that kept the family together when Eli apparently didn't have the balls to. While he frockiled and fucked women, she was dedicated in visiting orphanages, bakeries, nursing homes and always hugging a kid who was sleeping on the street.
  • Image rebuilding, I called it that.
  • "Hi, Eugene." I began to call her by her first name ever since I turned eighteen. It seemed right since I was supposed to be the future heir to the throne.
  • "It's Lady Eugene." she responded, her lips spreading to produce that fake smile that she gave the newspapers.
  • "I apologize." I smirked, my hands dipping into my pant pockets.
  • "You don't seem sorry. Infact I take it as sarcasm." Her words made me chuckle to myself.
  • I never cared about her opinions. Not ever since she was the person who was assigned to give me the training on how to be royalty since I was a kid. Those times were utterly humiliating as she picked on every fall, every glass I broke and my language.
  • "Do you know that your husband is fucking the maid in one of the royal guest rooms?" I spoke with my eyes fixed on the sky.
  • "So you came here to chat. I see." Her tone seemed unfazed and less surprised.
  • "You don't seem suprised to hear that." I slanted my head.
  • "And how would you expect me to act perplexed?" Eugene responded, "She isn't the first."
  • My hand dramatically flew to my chest and I said, "Then why are you not separating? Aren't you tired of cleaning up his mess?"
  • "A separation is unacceptable to the royal family. You know that yourself, Noah." Her fingers twirled the million dollar necklace that sat upon her neck.
  • "And do you not care about your happiness? Does the fact that he's sleeping around not bother you for a single damn moment. How can you be okay with it?" I heard myself yell. Not that I could stop myself but that was the question that I desperately wanted to ask.
  • She edged closer to me, our shoulders nearly touching, "Family always protect one another, Noah. I will not abandon your uncle because of his mistakes neither would I embarass the royal family either. I appreciate your dear concern but as you can see, I am... happy."
  • "Mistakes?" I scoffed, "I'm sure he has fucked over a hundred women and you call that a mistake? It's either you have stopped loving him or you love your position so much that you are blinded by it."
  • She chuckled to my amazement, covering her lips with so much elegance, "Now tell me, what did you learn in Boston? Did you learn how to be rude or did you forget who you are. I love your uncle, dearly..." She paused as if she was trying to assure herself, "-I have loved him for so many years, so refrain from uttering words that you have no idea about."
  • "You don't love him, do you?" I turned, my piercing gaze searching her brown eyes, "He is like an accessory to you, isn't he?"
  • "Noah-"
  • "You don't feel disgusted when he touches your arm." I yelled again.
  • "Noah-" she called again.
  • "You don't feel an atom of disgust when he smiles at you." I spoke again, my tone laced with anger, "You sicken me, Eugene."
  • For a moment, it seemed as if the only sound I could hear was the dripping water from the fountain and the never ending chipping birds. Eugene simply stared at me, her face void of any emotions.
  • Just wrinkles that grew with age.
  • And then her face revealed a chippy smile that scared me, she set a couple of fingers on my left shoulder and then sighed heavily,
  • "It's time for dinner, Noah."
