Chapter 32 Your Wish Is My Command

• My words shock Hugo. He doesn’t say anything at first, just gapes at me like I’ve grown a second head. Obviously, he wasn’t expecting my reply.
• “I want to be a reporter for Harbinger News Network…” I say, making things clear. The job I want is not just as a receptionist or a cleaner or anything like that. I want a real job with real opportunities to interact with people and make meaningful connections.
• With those connections, I could have more people in my corner during what is sure to be a difficult divorce. To win custody of my kids, I need as many good recommendations as I can get. What better way to gain those than by forming connections with people already in the public eye?
