• Sometimes I came up here to think.
• The rooftop above the Northport lounge wasn’t much to look at. The floor was cracked cement, patched in places with mismatched slabs of tile from some forgotten renovation. The metal railing was rusted in spots, the paint peeling like old skin. There was an abandoned satellite dish in the corner, half-dismantled, humming faintly as it caught the coastal wind.
