- I leaned back in my chair, my fingers drumming against the desk as I glanced at the time. Anastasia should be back soon. Or at least, she should be on her way if she wasn’t caught up in whatever business had taken her to the warehouse again.
- Deciding to check in, I picked up my phone and dialed her number. She answered after a few rings.
