- Far below the ruined city of Varosha, I stood in the centre of my new empire.
- The long corridor was lit with bright, cold light. Along the walls were chambers, each holding subjects in various stages of development—clones, enhanced operatives, and failed experiments. The sound of machines and life-support systems echoed around me.
