• I didn’t understand how it happened, but everything had become a blur at some point. One moment, I was in the club, and the next, I was in Alexander’s room, his hand resting on my head as he gazed at me with cold eyes. But beneath that icy stare, I could have sworn I saw a flicker of worry. Either that, or I was really imagining things.
