• “Oh, you’re not going to do anything Morgana. Not. One. Thing.” Chloe cuts me off. As soon as she speaks, I notice a darkness in her eyes I have never seen before. in fact, everything about Chloe right now is dark and I don’t know who I’m looking at. I have no idea who this person is in front of me but it is not Chloe. This is something else.
• Ryder winces in pain as he rests suspended in the air by Chloe’s magic. Damon is still in the carriage writhing in pain and all I can think about is how to get him inside so I can place him comfortably in bed. So, I can help him. I need to get Damon out of here because right now, Chloe looks unhinged and crazy and I have no idea when she might snap and try to hurt Damon.
