Chapter 44 Short Break

• When we heard footsteps coming from upstairs, the three of us grew quiet and cast an expectant look at the stairs. Jaidyn appeared wearing one of my gray sweatshirts. It reached down to her elbows since it was so big for her. I would be lying if I said I didn't like her wearing my clothes.
• Her green eyes were gleaming with delight as she walked over to Claire and said, "Claire."
• Claire shouted, "Jaidyn!" and she got to her feet, hugging her.
