Chapter 35 Kicking One Off

• Wendy had sent a message to Linda halfway through, telling her that something urgent had come up and she needed to return to Yarburn. Following this, she turned off her phone. She spent the next forty-eight hours in a hotel room with the curtains drawn, in the company of Caspian.
• Caspian also didn't turn on his phone. All he ate was takeaway.
• Both of them panted. After a long pause, Caspian swallowed hard, his voice hoarse as he said, “You're nearly draining me dry.”
