- “Sanaya, stop fidgeting!” Amber scolded in a stern voice. “I’m trying to paint your eyes and you’re going to ruin my masterpiece.”
- I sucked in a breath and let it out slowly, trying to calm my nerves. Once I felt a bit more steady, I nodded and sat still, placing my hands on my lap with my eyes still closed as Amber did my eye makeup.
