Chapter 2

  • 【Elena's POV】
  • A few days later, on the werewolf special train to Hunterston, I had a whole carriage to myself.
  • As the train approached the station, I had my wolf Sienna hide the Alpha-level pheromones and only release the normal Omega pheromones, while also putting on a deliberately ugly makeup.
  • "I am just an unimportant illegitimate child of the Frost Pack, lucky enough to have the family name."
  • I reminded myself of this once again in my mind, then exited the train station through the werewolf-exclusive passage.
  • Despite the bustling crowd at the station, I immediately spotted the Storm Family brothers waiting at the exit - tall, rugged, exuding a noble air that caught everyone's attention.
  • If it weren't for the fierce, vigilant bodyguards around them, I believe many women would have approached them, even men.
  • "On such a hot day, Grandfather insists that we come to pick up a little dog, a lowly illegitimate child. Is it really worth our attention?"
  • Though they were far away, I could still hear their annoyed complaints with Sienna's powerful sensory abilities.
  • Later, I found out that the angry guy was Caleb Storm, the youngest of the Storm Family five brothers.
  • "Yeah, in this day and age, still taking the train, how embarrassing! The Frost Pack is wealthy, she clearly isn't valued by the Pack, maybe just a low-level Omega! Only got the family name through luck."
  • The person speaking wore a mask and hat, shaking his head constantly.
  • With my strong eyesight, I recognized him as Roland Storm, the fourth in the Storm Family five brothers, who had gained fame in Lunarwood with just one action movie.
  • Lunarwood was the werewolf equivalent of Hollywood, and Roland's movies were only shown in werewolf society to boost the influence of the Storm Pack.
  • "I can't believe it, as the Alpha heir of the Storm Pack, we have to let an Omega choose a Mate! Even if it's an Omega with Alpha bloodline, it's still just a low-level Omega! How can they be worthy of us!?"
  • I guessed this was Reade Storm, the third in the ranking, because according to Grandfather, the second-ranked Ethan Storm was relatively more stable.
  • But even Ethan disappointed me, as he sighed, "I envy my big brother, as the acting Alpha, he doesn't have to come for company matters."
  • These guys really have low standards! Why do you have to let an illegitimate child choose a Mate? Isn't it because the Luna sent by your previous generation is infertile!
  • Can a bastard be insulted by you at will? Regardless, we are still potential marriage partners, so at least there should be some basic respect!
  • There is no doubt that my first impression of these guys was very bad.
  • I am grateful that I have hidden my identity, and I am also thankful that Alpha Marcus Storm of the Storm Pack agreed to my test requirements - he did not tell these people my true identity, otherwise how could I see their true faces?
  • The behavior of these brothers strengthened my determination to break this agreement and find my destined Mate.
  • In fact, the moment I got off the train, my soul had a moment of excitement, I knew my destined Mate was in Hunterston, and not too far from me.
  • "Hi! You guys are the young masters of the Storm Family, right? I am Elena from the Frost Pack."
  • I adjusted my mood and walked towards the Storm Family brothers with a smile on my face.
  • Although I was very polite, the four of them were still surprised by me, especially the most handsome one, Roland, who seemed to see a witch holding poison, full of horror.
  • I deliberately made a silly look at them: "Grandpa really didn't lie to me, you guys are all so charming! Who should I choose as my Mate? It's so hard to choose! Who wants to Mark me?"
  • The brothers' eyes met, all looking very desperate, Caleb looked up at the sky, "Really a low-level Omega! And so ugly! Oh my god! Just kill me!"
  • Ethan coughed awkwardly and gestured, "Elena, please get in the car first, we'll talk on the way back."
  • I got into the luxury limousine arranged by the Storm Family and sat across from Caleb, who glanced at me and gently patted the seat, "Sorry for the inconvenience."
  • This guy is definitely the most rude one!
  • I deliberately scratched the leather seat with my nails, "This car looks really nice, it must cost tens of thousands, right?"
  • Caleb's mouth twitched crazily, and he shouted at me with a mixture of heartache and disdain, "Tens of thousands? Is that the limit of your imagination? This car costs ten million!"
  • Throughout the journey, these brothers shook their heads and sighed, I knew, just like me, they also would not want me to be their Mate, my plan was going very smoothly.
  • As the car drove into the Storm Family's estate, looking at the luxurious villa in front of me, my performance continued: "Wow, this house is so beautiful! I want to live here forever - with my Mate!"
  • "Enough! I can't take it anymore, you hick!"
  • Caleb, with the worst self-control, couldn't take it anymore, he roared at me angrily, "Go back! Right now!"
  • Caleb's reaction made me very disdainful.
  • He carries the powerful Alpha bloodline of the Storm Pack, yet he is so hot-tempered, such a person is unreliable.
  • It seems that life in the south is too comfortable, causing these noble offspring to have long lost their sense of crisis.
  • But I am also happy, because I have always wanted to break free from this arranged marriage.
  • "Are you sure?"
  • I looked at the four people in front of me, "If you are sure, I can leave now."
