Chapter 74
- I never once imagined that I would share a dining table with my parents.
- All I could remember was a cold and empty kitchen, with nothing but a dollar stuck under a drinking glass. Sometimes I would be lucky and get a warm meal from the store across from our house. Sometimes all I get was stale bread. Sometimes it was silent, sometimes there was shouting.
- That setup continued even after marrying Liam. I rarely get to eat dinner with him because of his busy schedule, and I would always sleep hungry waiting for him to come home because, somewhere in me, I had hoped he would come early so we could eat together.
