Chapter 48 Burning In The Morning

• Espen woke to the warmth of Mikko's body curled against her, but something wasn’t right. His skin was too hot. Not the kind of heat that made her want to crawl on top of him and make the most of the sunrise, but the kind that had her heart hammering in sudden fear.
• She shifted, leaning over him. His brow was slick with sweat, and when she touched his chest, the temperature made her flinch.
