Chapter 25 The Healing

• Lyra clutched Ryan’s limp body, her heart beat raised as the echoes of the battle faded into the distance. The pain of betrayal cut deeper than any wound she had ever suffered. Tears streamed down her face, mingling with the dirt and blood on her hands as she pressed down harder against the wound, desperate to stop the bleeding.
• “Stay with me, Ryan. Please,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “You’re going to be okay. I’ll find a way to heal you.”
• But the warmth was slipping from him, and his breaths were growing shallower, each one a fragile reminder of the life she was losing.
