Chapter 835 Meeting Again
- “Foxhunt” has taken plenty of hits from Olivia Carter. Every mercenary they sent got shipped off to different countries by her—and turned into bounties. Even those three, including Michelle, got caught and put to hard labor. Leo was insanely curious about Olivia, so he couldn’t help wanting to see what this young girl could really do. But right now… Leo decided his hands were way too precious. Cannon fodder can die all they want. He wasn’t about to test Olivia’s skills himself. Pretending nothing had happened, Leo led Olivia inside. With that lesson burned into them, the mercenaries in the back still traded looks full of pride, but no one stepped up to die. A rose with thorns might be gorgeous, but only someone truly capable dares pluck it. Otherwise, you’ll end up covered in thorns—and humiliated in front of everyone. In a room crammed with arcade machines, a tall man sat at one cabinet, focused hard on the game. When the door opened, the man lifted his head slowly and saw Leo and Olivia. “You’re here,” he said, totally half-hearted, then glued his attention back to the old-school arcade. Leo was used to this and slid into a chair off to the side. Olivia watched the man playing like he was having the time of his life. He was handsome, sure. But those peach-blossom eyes and that faintly upturned mouth screamed playful cynicism. She’d crossed paths with Ji Tianyu once, but he’d been wearing a mask then, so Olivia never really knew what this “worth over a billion” Foxhunt boss actually looked like. Seeing him for real now… “Uncle Asher, ever think about washing your hands of this and switching careers?” Olivia tugged over a small stool and sat beside Ji Tianyu like it was the most natural thing in the world. Ji Tianyu paused mid-combo, then turned to glance at this girl dropping bombshells like it was nothing. Off to the side, Leo couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Well, damn. She wasn’t just trying to poach him—she wanted to poach the Foxhunt boss too. Ji Tianyu arched a brow, his almost-smiling gaze sweeping over Olivia like he’d just heard the funniest line all week. “Switch careers? What exactly are you suggesting?” Olivia said, “Do you know how hot ‘uncle-type’ male artists are back in Cyperia right now?” Ji Tianyu: “???” “Uncle? Do I look that old?” To be fair, Ji Tianyu was past thirty, but with that face, most people would peg him at twenty-seven or twenty-eight at first glance. Olivia: “You’re doing okay.” Ji Tianyu: “No one here has ever called me old.” Olivia: “That’s ’cause Westerners age fast. Put you next to them and you look extra young.” Ji Tianyu: “No interest.” Olivia: “You sure you don’t wanna think it over?” Watching his character get pinned by an NPC and KO’d, Ji Tianyu’s mouth twitched. He slapped the power off on the arcade. “You came all this way just to drag me back to Cyperia to be an artist?” Olivia: “Not exactly. I mean, I’m kinda acting on impulse because you’re pretty.” Ji Tianyu: “That’s not how ‘acting on impulse’ works.” Olivia: “Details, details. Seriously, you won’t consider it?” Ji Tianyu: “If you’re done, the door’s right there. Get lost.” Olivia: “Uncle Asher, I’m your beloved niece. We finally see each other again, we haven’t even caught up, and you’re gonna be this cruel and kick me out?”
