• I hurled my phone across the room, and it smashed against the wall with a crack that echoed like my own breaking heart. The screen shattered, jagged lines spiderwebbing across the headlines that burned into my eyes: Ryan Graham Caught in Steamy Affair: Back in Johanna’s Arms. Photos splashed everywhere.. her lips on his, her hands clawing at his shirt, his body pressed too close, too still. My chest heaved, rage and pain twisting so tight I couldn’t breathe. The room spun, the four walls of this damn mansion closing in like a cage.
• I stumbled to the bed, my knees giving out, my hands shaking as I gripped the sheets.
