Chapter 12 Feelings

• Adrian storms into his office, his jaw tight and his eyes alight with unspoken fury. Andrew, his ever-efficient secretary, immediately straightens in his chair, sensing the tempest brewing.
• “Andrew,” Adrian barks, his voice low but commanding. “I need you to find everything you can about Lila. Where she’s been, what she’s been doing these past years, and…” His voice falters, just for a second, before the steel returns. “And about her children.”
• Andrew blinks, surprised by the sudden intensity, but he nods without hesitation. “Understood, sir. I’ll get on it immediately.”
