Chapter 7 CEO Noah
- Rachel's point of view:
- I knew staying here would cause Jane more hurt, even if u had nowhere else to go staying here after i made her lose her job was wrong, so i quickly got off the couch packed up my stuffs and when i was about leaving i apologized to Jane again but she won't look at me, so i left Jane's apartment and called some of my friends to help accommodate me and I got unfavorable reply.
- “Do you want to make me lose my job just as he made Jane lose her job ,do you think after what happened anyone is going to help you ,please just stay away from me and my family because this is the only job that I have to support myself I can't lose it because I want to be a good friend, so please lose my number."One female friend hissed at me and I wondered if Jane was telling everyone not to help me or maybe she just told them what happened.
- I stopped at a coffee shop and bought a coffee, sat down and called another friend.
- “I don't have enough room to accommodate anyone else so please you have to stay on your own."She told me even though she lives alone in a condo, however I wasn't entitled to her help so I thanked her and she hung up.
- “No, I can't help." That was the fifth reply I could get from my five close friends and I was at a loss. I help my friends out with money regularly and now I am in need. No one wants to help me.
- That's how life is.
- I left the coffee shop after an hour as the waiter was staring at me strangely and i walked on the busy sidewalk for a while and i got tired of walking and sat on a bench contemplating what to do when my stomach growled and i opened her purse and took out a candle bar to eat and when i was about closing my purse something fell out from her purse and I bent and picked it up and saw it was the business card.
- It was the same business card that man gave me in the rain.
- I searched his name online and sure enough the man who met me in the rain is the CEO of the biggest pharmaceutical company in the country and he has lots of hospitals under him.
- I grit her teeth as I look at the card, right now it is either I call him or I become homeless and become a prey to the cold world.
- I wasn't willing to take the risk of being homeless, so i sighed and decided to risk it all and dialed his number, and called him and placed the phone on my ear, it began to ring amd my anxiety began to get the better of me as i contemplated ending the call then I heard a voice.
- “Hello Scientist Rachel, I told you I will hear from you soon." Noah said in a deep baritone voice and his voice sent shivers down my spine and I glanced around as I suspected I was being watched as one question played on my mind.
- How did he know it was me? I didn't exchange numbers with him.
- I gulped.
- **Author's pov**
- In a black car ten feet away from Rachel behind her, Noah sat on the back seat of his car with his legs crossed and phone on his ear, a smile was playing on his face as he knew he had finally gotten Rachel.
- This woman can not escape his grasp no matter what.
- Noah saw her with her luggages and she was looking really defeated so he could tell he was her last hope.
- His smile widened.
- He will finally get what he wants.
