Chapter 134

• The car screeched to a halt in front of the hospital. Tires shrieked as Gino parked at the emergency entrance. Before the vehicle even settled, Marco threw the door open and leapt out, cradling Delilah in his arms.
• "Help!" he barked, panic cracking his voice. "Somebody help us!"
• Nurses rushed forward with a stretcher, and Marco carefully placed Delilah on it. Her face was pale, her lips nearly blue. Blood seeped through the fabric of her top, dark and ominous, staining his hands and shirt as he clutched her tightly.
