Chapter 3
- Chapter 3
 - Amelia's Point Of View.
 - "We are the ones who should be surprised because you already have children," Cecelia continued.
 - "And?" I asked while looking at her.
 - I really really want to roll my eyes but I still have some respect left for her even though several years have passed but nothing has changed her behavior.
 - A small grin appears on her lips.
 - "Mommy, who is she?" Aria asked so I looked at her and smiled.
 - "She's your grandmother. Greet her, baby!"
 - "Really?" Aria said and I nodded so she looked at Cecelia and waved. "Hi grandma..."
 - Cecelia smiled. "Hello," she said.
 - I looked at Caleb who was looking at Cecelia. "Greet her too, Caleb."
 - Caleb looked at me because of what I said, I frowned because he didn't seem to have any intention of doing what I said.
 - "Caleb," I said and he sighed.
 - "Nice to meet you," he said but there was no smile on his lips unlike earlier when he greeted dad.
 - "Nice to meet you too," Cecelia said.
 - Cecelia's behavior still hasn't really changed, dad always tells me to call her mom or auntie. But how can I call her that if she is not mom and she does not treat me well.
 - He will never replace mom in my heart.
 - When we had dinner, Aria and Caleb were next to me while I was in the middle of them. I looked at Mike when I saw him looking at Aria and Caleb, when our eyes met I quickly looked away.
 - "How was your pregnancy, Amelia?" Cecelia asked.
 - Why is she always talking to me? Why didn't she just eat and shut her mouth? Did she think I wanted to talk to her?
 - "Is it hard but I survived," I answered casually while eating, also checking to see if Aria and Caleb ate properly.
 - "You're a single mom, right?" Chelsey suddenly asked so I turned to her, she's looking at me as if she and Mike didn't do anything to me before that completely ruined my life.
 - "Yeah . . ."
 - "That's why you raise your children like that," Cecelia said with a smirk on her lips.
 - "What do you mean?" I let go of the spoon I was holding and looked at her seriously.
 - Damn, doesn't she have anything good to say?
 - Cecelia just laughed at me. "I don't mean what I said, I just want to say that it's hard to be a single mom."
 - "Mom educated us well even though she was a single mom," Caleb suddenly said so I turned to him and saw him looking at Cecelia. "She's amazing and strong because even though she was alone, she never made us feel like something was missing," he added.
 - Cecelia was stunned to speak.
 - "Yes, In fact we don't need a father because mom can be our mother and father," Aria said. "I'm happy that she became our mom."
 - I smiled at Caleb and Aria, I don't just find happiness in material things, because when they came to me it was like I didn't need anything else.
 - Cecelia cleared her throat. "W-well that's good to know!" she said and forced a smile.
 - After dinner, I took Caleb and Aria to my old room so they could rest because I knew they were tired from our flight.
 - While I was walking first because I miss this whole mansion, except for the people who live here. Nothing has been changed inside the mansion, I have noticed a few renovations but nothing has been changed.
 - My mom, she's an architect and she designed this mansion. And it's good to see that dad hasn't changed anything in the mansion even though his wife is not my mom anymore.
 - I was suddenly remember when dad said that Mike and Chelsey were engaged. I don't know why it suddenly happened, but it looks like they love each other and I don't care about that anymore.
 - I already moved on, especially when Aria and Caleb came to myself. I proved that I don't need a man in my life.
 - "You should be taking care of your twins now and not wandering around."
 - My eyes narrowed and I turned behind me, Cecelia and I quickly met our eyes.
 - "They're already sleeping now," I answered.
 - "Stop being plastic, Amelia." Cecelia said irritated so I raised an eyebrow.
 - I sighed heavily, she is one of the reasons why I don't want to come back on this mansion and just live abroad for the rest of my life.
 - "What the hell are you talking about?" I murmured.
 - "We both know that you can only come back here because you want Mike back in your life because your children don't have a father!" she said angrily, pointing her finger at me.
 - I clenched my fists because of what I heard, how could she think of that?! Is she on drugs or something?!
 - "What kind of brain did you have and that entered your mind?" I said annoyed. "That's why I came back here because dad wants to see my kids and not for the nonsense you're saying."
 - "Drop the act already, because even if you come back here, Mike will never come back into your life because you're a useless woman!" Cecelia said while looking at me evilly.
 - Damn! I really don't know why dad married her!
 - "I don't even want that man to come back to my life just so my children can have a father," I said seriously. "Stop being delusional, Cecelia. Aren't you ashamed because you're that age, saying useless things like that coming out of your mouth?" I added and left her presence because I could no longer stand in front of her.
 - But I stopped walking because I saw Caleb standing in the hallway and looking at me.
 - "Mom. . . why is she like that to you?"
 - I quickly came to him and picked him up and continued walking.
 - "Why are you still awake, huh?" I asked him.
 - "I'm not used to not sleeping next to you, that's why I left the room and looked for you," he answered.
 - "Oh that's so sweet!" I said and smiled. "But you know what, when you're a teenager already, you don't want to sleep next to me."
 - "It must have been like that when you were a teenager," he said.
 - "Yup baby. . ."
 - Caleb's Point Of View.
 - Why does grandma treat mom like that? Shouldn't she treat mom like that? Why does grandma seem to dislike mom?
 - I don't want to see others treat mom like that and I feel like I want to protect mom.
 - When we finished dinner earlier, I saw grandma and auntie Chelsey laughing at mom because she is a single mom. Mom is not doing anything else so I don't know why they are laughing, grandpa doesn't care either.
 - What's wrong with being a single mom? Don't they understand that being a single mom is hard, so why do they make fun of it?
 - "I wonder, what does dad look like?" Aria asked me, while mom was in the bathroom.
 - "Maybe he looks like me," I answered while watching TV. Mom once said that he looks like me and she never said it again.
 - "I really want to see him," she said.
 - I want to see him too but I don't think mom and him have a good relationship.
 - "You said we don't need a father because mom is there," I said and I heard her sigh.
 - "Yeah but. . . how does it feel to have a dad?" she murmured. "Why don't we just look for our dad?"
 - I frowned and looked at her. "What?"
 - "We can do that right?" she said and I didn't answer and just went back on watching TV.
 - If we find our father, people will no longer laugh at mom for being a single mom?
 - I was stunned when Aria suddenly changed the channel I was watching, I was about to tell her to turn the channel back but my attention was caught by what was being reported on TV today.
 - Breaking news
 - "A National Piano Contest was coming up! Participate now and win the prize!"
 - If I win and become famous, will the process be faster so we can find dad?
 - Amelia's Point Of View.
 - "Huh? A National Piano Contest?" I said.
 - I was surprised when I was arranging our things and he suddenly came to me and said that.
 - "Yes, I want to join, mom." Caleb said.
 - "Okay sure you can, but why?" I asked.
 - "I just want to explore my talent," he said and smiled making me smile.
 - Caleb knows how to play a piano, he got interested when he was 4 years old. It's so amazing that at his young age he immediately found his hobby.
 - And of course, I'll support him and Aria no matter what happens.
 - Caleb indeed participated in that contest and Aria and I were going to watch him. I also told Sandy about this contest and she said she will watch it live because she has work now.
 - I also told this to dad but he also can't go because the company needs him. So Aria and I are the only ones here to watch him.
 - Caleb is indeed talented, maybe he inherited it from his father. I also know how to play the piano, because I was once a piano teacher, but Caleb's talent is different and I'm sure he will win this contest.
 - "And the first runner up of the National Piano Contest is Caleb Jameson Salvador for his incredible performance! Congratulations!"
