• **Elora's POV**
• My eyes widened when he said that. “Da… Damon,” I called softly. He looked up at me and I could see the desire in his eyes. I opened my mouth to say something, but when his hands trailed down my cheeks, I was suddenly lost for words.
• Pinned to the wall with one of his hands behind me, I could feel my body heat up with desire; an effect that Lucien didn't even have on me back when we were together. I tried as best as I could to keep my defenses up but when he moved his face closer to mine, his breath fanning my face, my body tensed up. The way his eyes bore into mine made my heart melt.
