Chapter 4 Summoning My Wolf

• Adeline’s pov
• I didn’t know what to answer. Yes or no?
• Despite being married to Matteo, at that moment I was ready to give my all to Elio. He is the only good thing that has ever happened to me.
• He kissed me again, stopping me from answering, and pushed me to the bed. Grunting, he climbed on the bed and was on top of me.
• It really felt like a bad time to have sex. Although we haven’t had sex, not a day passes by without me thinking of how graceful and beautiful our sex was going to be. But out of desperation and pressure, we are going to have a short, maybe a quickie so he would put a baby in me.
• I wasn’t so comfortable with the idea, but he went on with it. I tried all my best to convince Matteo, but he wouldn’t just heed my pleads. He gave me no choice.
• Elio retracted his lips from my neck and asked again, “ Should we do this, my love? “
• Just as I was about to react, the door swung open. God gracious! He didn’t lock the door. He couldn’t do something good for once! First, he arrived late and could have stopped Matteo from marrying me and now this!
• Matteo walked gently inside and stared at us. We could hear the sound of a pounding heart. I. Could swear it was mine. I froze in shock, but what I failed to realize on time was the blood on his hands on clothes.
• Nevertheless, he had a knife in his hands.
• Elio muttered, “ Oh shit! “
• He froze on the spot and couldn’t escape. Perhaps his fear prevented him from getting up. But not more than me because I’ll be the one living with him.
• Matteo clicked his tongue, licked the blood at the corner of his mouth with his lips and raised the knife slightly above his shoulder.
• “ I told you not to try anything stupid. Why won’t you listen? “ He chuckled.
• A wicked smile tugged at his lips and stabbed the bed with the knife. Immediately, I pushed Elio on the bed and got up.
• “ I’m trying so hard not to transform into my wolf's form! If I was in a good mood, you wouldn’t have stayed too long staring at the blood on my body! “
• I blinked multiple times and bowed. “ Alpha Matteo, I can explain! “
• “ Now you call me alpha! What a delight! Everyone in the house, what marvelous words! “ He took some steps closer and Elio ran behind me.
• “ What were you trying to do? Get her pregnant! You’re such a novice in this werewolf thing. You are still a newbie in execution of plans like this,” He added, acting more and more suspicious.
• I feared for my life, but feared more for Elio. Even if he had to kill one of us, there was a 50 percent chance of getting me killed and a 70 percent of getting Elio killed.
• “ Matteo! Please calm down. I suggested that we have a baby! “ I blurted.
• I thought it was safe to tell him the truth, but I was wrong. It made the situation worse. I saw his face lit up as he checked his fist in anger.
• “ You were going to destroy my plan! “ He growled. If I was to guess, that was his wolf trying to take over his baby.
• “ Matteo! Don’t result to this, if I wanted to elope with him I would have done it years ago! “ I snarled.
• My truth didn’t help, but I somehow triggered his wolf and woefully failed to maintain his cool. He growled in anger as his golden wolf hairs soon took over his skin,his body three times my size,his teeth pointing out very dangerously and his red eyes pointing daggers at me.
• That was the first time I had ever seen a werewolf transform! In other words, an Alpha! I knew it was out of my league, but still tried to calm him.
• Before I could utter another word, I felt my body thrown to the other side. I fell hard on the floor so that it had started bleeding.
• I tried to get up to save Elio, but I couldn’t. Slowly, I lost consciousness and blacked out.

• I stood up and cleaned my eyes. I slowly restored my memory and winced in pain. I touched my head and remembered I was bleeding right on this floor.
• There was no blood, and surprisingly, someone had bandaged the cut area. Someone treated me, but they left me to sleep on the floor. How heroic!

• I looked around the room to see if there were any damages in the room to evaluate how terrible the fight was.
• Out of the blue, Matteo answered me.

• He came out of the shower shirtless, tying a towel around his waist. I averted my gaze and clenched my jaws.

• After that, there was a long silence between us and soon after, he wore his clothes and stormed outside the room.

• Before I could finish reading, I touched up the paper and threw it away.

• After wearing my long flawless black gown that looked sexy on me. I stormed outside to find Elio and was in the sitting room where tons of maids were doing their jobs.
• Suddenly, I heard a shout from upstairs. I looked up and saw my mother-in-law. Though I haven’t seen her in person, my mom has shown me her picture. Why wasn’t she at my wedding? Come to think of it, none of the high Crimstone pack members were at my wedding.
