• I continuously paced the length of my study, unsure of how I was supposed to face Elarian after what had happened at the breakfast table. It was almost dark, and yet I was still locked up in my study after instructing the guards that I did not want to be disturbed by anyone.
• I had no idea Blair was going to rope me in like that. I had no idea why I did not open my mouth to say anything. Maybe it was because a part of me knew what she said was true, and that made me feel so… stupid and terrible.
