Chapter 23 She Is Not My Mate

• I stretched my neck and looked around but my breath instantly hitched in my throat at what l saw . There he was , Alexander standing in the doorway with his eyes on me . I looked down in that instant giving myself whiplash . I could hear muted greetings from everyone to him as he made his way to the buffet . I looked down my lashes as everyone tripped over themselves to make away for him .
• I scrunched up my nose in irritation at that . These people were tripping over themselves because of a normal person . I looked at him some more as my body pleasantly burned . He was honestly handsome but I just didn't want the were they feared him . While lost in my thoughts , l didn't notice that he was coming towards me until when l followed the guard's gaze .
• Seeing that , l bit my lip and quickly got our trays then stood up with the intent of getting out there . However just as l stood up , he all of the sudden tugged me down making me sit down again . I squirmed out of his hold as he took his seat next to me where the guard was sitting a minute ago .
