• After the fight schedule between Nyx and Jacobo was set, the pack and the council dispersed, and the ceremony was discontinued. I had been watching Nyx closely, noticing how pissed he was. Then, out of nowhere, I spotted that bitch, Becky. I had seen her earlier, talking to Nyx, and something about it made my blood boil.
• I turned to Nyx and Alpha Martin, forcing a calm expression onto my face. "I'll meet you both at the library," I excused myself. Without waiting for a response, I followed Becky, keeping my distance as she approached the pack house.
