Easton and I jumped apart like we had both been burned, my heart slamming violently against my chest. My face still felt terribly warm, my lips tingling from the kiss that had my body melting and my brain fuzzy just a few seconds ago but all that was gone now, replaced entirely by what could only be described as terror.
Just like I'd dreaded, it was Mark who walked in on us, and he just stood there, completely still at the doorway of Easton's throne room. His eyes were wide, filled with disbelief and confusion, totally unblinking as his mouth hung open.
