Chapter 2
- Alina's POV
- The door was pushed open forcefully.
- I jumped, standing up quickly from the edge of the bed.
- Dominic walked in, his leather armor gone, replaced with a black shirt. Two buttons hung open at the collar, showing a hint of his bronze chest.
- The scent of pine after rain rolled off him, heavy and commanding, filling the room.
- "Speak."
- He came closer, looking down at me with sharp eyes that seemed to pierce straight through my skin.
- “Who sent you?” His voice was cold.
- “No one sent me!” My voice shook, but I straightened my back, trying to sound steady.
- “I’m not a traitor or a spy. I’m a healer, a doctor. I was only passing through the Westwood tribe when I got caught in a misunderstanding. I swear to the Moon Goddess.
- “Swear?” His lips curled into a cruel smile. “Every traitor who died at my hands once swore to the Moon Goddess.”
- “I can prove it!” I said quickly, clinging to my last hope.
- “If there are wounded or patients overwhelmed by pheromones, I can treat them immediately. I’m the best healer in the South. The greatest doctor!”
- The words slipped out before I could stop them.
- Sure enough, Dominic's gaze turned even more dangerous in an instant.
- "The South?"
- He stepped closer, his presence pressing down so heavily it was hard to breathe.
- "Was it Killian who sent you?"
- My eyes widened. Fear shot through me. How did he know Killian’s name?
- Before I could think, his hand reached for me again.
- The same hand that once gripped my chin now traced my cheek, fingertips rough with calluses yet burning wherever they touched, sparking heat that spread through me.
- “N-no… don’t touch me…” My voice came out weak, no stronger than a kitten’s whimper.
- But my body betrayed me, aching for his touch, while my wolf, Eira, howled with delight.
- “That’s it, Alina! Let him touch you! He is ours!” Eira roared in my mind, her voice thick with submission and bliss at his power.
- The strange comfort rose inside me again, washing away fear, leaving behind only a dangerous, burning need for him.
- His gray eyes darkened, filled with suspicion and murderous intent, but deeper within, there was an uncontrollable, surging desire. His throat moved as his breath grew heavier.
- He leaned down, his face filling my vision.
- And then, he kissed me.
- The kiss was fierce, claiming, nothing gentle. His lips forced mine open, his tongue demanding, devouring, taking every part of me.
- My mind screamed: Push him away! Killian is waiting! We are promised! I love Killian!
- But my body gave in, my hands sliding up his back, fingers gripping the hard muscles beneath his shirt.
- "Yes! Answer him! Show him you want him too! This is our mate! Our king!” Eira cried in bliss, urging me to give in, urging me to surrender to fate.
- The next moment, everything spun.
- He lifted me, carried me a few steps, then threw me onto the soft mattress.
- Dominic loomed above me, caging me in, his body trapping mine beneath his.
- The silk nightgown was torn apart by him with ease, the cold air brushing against my burning skin and making me shiver uncontrollably.
- "No..."
- I let out one last, helpless protest.
- Two dark flames burned in his eyes, raw, primal desire.
- He buried his head in the crook of my neck, hot kisses trailing down, setting fire to every inch of me.
- I felt liquid flowing from my lower body, my body craving to be filled.
- He roughly spread my legs, the swollen tip of his member pressing at my entrance. Before I could even moan, he was already inside me.
- It hurt. I tried to push him away, but he caught my hands and pinned them above my head. I was completely powerless.
- He thrust forward, tearing through my virginity.
- I cried out in pain, guilt stabbing through me for Killian, who loved me deeply and was waiting for me in the South, where we were meant to have our bonding ceremony.
- But as his movements grew harder, waves of pleasure began to drown me, and I quickly lost my sanity.
- All night, we both surrendered to madness.
- I forgot Killian’s gentle smile, forgot the warm winds of the South, forgot who I was.
- In my world, there was only him, Dominic, only the waves of searing pleasure he gave me, one after another.
- In the final tremor, a sharp pain tore through my neck.
- Fangs pierced my skin, and a powerful, dominating force surged into my body, binding my soul tightly to his. I could even feel his satisfaction, his possessiveness… and my pitiful, betraying surrender.
- It was over. He had marked me.
- Killian… I had completely betrayed you.
