• George drove to the school gate, picked up Seraphina, and followed the address Jason had sent. The car headed out to the suburbs and stopped in front of a one-story house. Another vehicle was already parked outside.
• Seraphina and George got out and rang the doorbell. After a few minutes, the gate creaked open. A scruffy, unkempt man looked them over without a word, waved them inside, and shut the gate behind them.
