Chapter 29 Caught Or Not

• As Naya watched the newer prisoners help her with her tasks, she threw Huge Basky a confident look and went to the phone booth. Since their last fight, the lady hadn’t dared to come on her nerves no matter what. Everyone saw her as the new intimidating lady, and she loved it. When she arrived at the phone booth, she took a deep breath and called Brett’s phone number. It’s been years but she still remembered it.
• “Hello, Brett speaking,” his deep voice said on the other end. For some reason, a sudden fear crippled her and she couldn’t speak.
• “Hello?” He repeated but she said nothing. She shut her eyes together and hung up the call immediately. She wasn’t sure what happened to her. Why couldn’t she talk? Wasn’t that her chance to just tell him the truth? Gathering her confidence, she called him back again.
