• Our mother had warned us that when Raven fell, it would be hard. We thought she had; that day, we heard her crying in our mother's arms. She told us we were fools to think that was her falling. Maybe we were, as today has thrown us through so many hoops, and she looks lost. We follow them through and I watch as Raven sits, her eyes staying fixed on the floor.
