• I got somehow closer, and I saw something that shouldn't be a surprise but was a surprise to me. It was a picture of my mother with my father, and it was huge on the wall above the bed. They were clearly married in the past. Turns out that they were telling the truth after all.
• Lucas noticed that I was looking at the picture, and he gave me a pat on the shoulder. "Mom was a very beautiful woman, and you have her eyes. You look exactly like her. Isn't it wonderful?"
