Chapter 6 First Kiss on Screen

• In the days that followed, I chose to stick with Isabel rather than risk being alone with Ashton. Isabel kept giving me strange looks, as though convinced I had come down with some mysterious illness. Still, there was no escaping the inevitable, we had a scene to film together, and it was a kissing scene no less.
• Ashton, since his debut, had rarely taken on romantic roles. While his professionalism was unmatched, he typically used camera angles and long shots to handle intimate scenes. But this time, the story demanded an intense kiss to showcase the raw emotions between two childhood friends, now turned enemies. There was no room for clever tricks.
• Jamie was visibly stressed and had even arranged for a body double, but Ashton shocked everyone by agreeing to do the scene himself without hesitation. The crew erupted in excitement, as though worried he might back out. Before I could grab a sip of water, I was ushered to the filming spot.
