• Dane knew he had been discovered and it was over for him. And he didn't want to face Elena's wrath, and so he disappeared using his abilities.
• After Dane disappeared Arthur turned to his mom, with a curt look. "I want you to get out!" He demanded coldly. Everything was his mom's fault… was what he believed. If his mom didn't get involved with Dane, then his parents wouldn't have died. And now he just wanted to kill Dent with his own bare hands, but unfortunately he had escaped.
• "Dear, I'm so sorry…" Elena apologized, but she knew that not even her apology could make up for what she had put her son through. First she left him when he was just an infant, and she never checked on him to se how he was doing, not until when he was about twelve years old.
