Chapter 12 A Miracle

• Mrs. Luz, Alma's mother, was supposed to be in the hospital for a few more days, however, Alma couldn't stay by her side for that long.
• Not when she had three underage siblings alone at home, without adult supervision, and although her sister, Naomi, had promised to take over, she couldn't leave that responsibility entirely on her shoulders, she was just a teenager.
• So, Alma had to go home and leave her mother in the hospital alone for the night.
