Chapter 7 Princess Treatment
- “Hello, Miss! This way please.” The kind man at the entrance smiled at me.
- I had never used a train before, so I couldn't argue. Following the older man in A black and white suit, we headed inside that train using a door which was different from everyone else.
- My heart was boiling in rage. I should have been on the first flight. But fuck it. What's done is done.
- Let me focus on the positive. Which is me having the wildest and best time of my life!
- “I'm sorry. My ticket is standard. Am I supposed to be here?” I asked, looking around the private room with a beautiful view. I swear it looked so good, you'll forget you're on a train but the last thing I needed was to be embarrassed.
- “Yes ma'am of course. You also have the best view of the whole train. If you need anything, please ring this bell and someone will attend to you immediately. “ he bowed slightly and walked out.
- “Thank you! I wonder what the first class is like if this is standard!” I laughed.
- The older man paused, as if wanting to say something to you but hesitated and walked out.
- “What was that about?” I questioned but decided not to dwell too much on it.
- I placed my purse down since they packed my bags. God knows where and practically brought me here like a Vip. Even though I'd never been on a train before, I knew VIP when I saw one and at the back of my mind, it felt like it.
- Shortly After, the engine Roared to life and we were on our way to Costa Rica. My breath caught as I watched the beautiful scenery.
- I slept most of it and tried to take photos in some of it. Not long after I closed my eyes again, my phone vibrated and I groaned in irritation.
- Only one person called me so much and a part of me prayed it was my sister instead.
- It wasn't.
- The ID flashed Damien and I ignored it. It rang twice before I picked it up lazily.
- “Aria, what the fuck is wrong with you? Can't you do anything right? Send the booking details right now!” His voice demanded.
- I held back my laugh. I mean I couldn't blame him. I did give him power over me and my money after all.
- “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you-” I began, my voice calm and sweet. “I canceled it,” I nonchalantly replied.
- After hearing that, Damien thundered and I could imagine his reddened face with veins bulging out of his forehead.
- “Why the fuck would you do that? Where are we supposed to stay tonight? Did you forget that I'm with Kate?”
- “I don't care if you're with the Queen, Damien. Sleep wherever you want.” I shrugged.
- “Have you lost your goddamn mind? Why would you cancel our reservation?” he roared in rage.
- “Seriously, Damien? Have you no shame at all? You fucking left me behind so you could take the plane with your childhood sweetheart using the ticket I bought, and you still need me to book a room for you? I loved you but I'm not retarded!” I retorted in annoyance.
- I heard him sigh. One of the ways he used to behave when trying to suppress his anger.
- “Fine, I won’t argue with you this time. Just make sure you book the hotel for the rest of the trip. Have a plan ready for each day, decide on the sightseeing spots, and buy all the tickets in advance.”
- He must have had a hearing problem.
- But I was getting tired of the back and forth so, I simply agreed.
- "Got it," I responded and hung up.
- I put my phone on silent and went to sleep.
- “Miss?” a gentle hand shook me and my eyes flattered.
- “We've arrived.” A blonde woman with a kind smile and a name tag “Cami.” said to me.
- “I must have overslept. Thank you Cami. Where can I find my bags?” I asked as I stood to gather my other things.
- “They have already been taken care of.” She responded and blood drained from my face.
- What did she mean by that?
- “Taken care of? Who-”
- “I took them, Princess. Welcome to Costa Rica!” A deep voice joined us, knocking all the air out of my lungs.
