Hayley watched as Elliot walked past the crowd toward Anastasia, and a resentful glare surfaced in her eyes. She put her wine glass aside before following behind Elliot. She wanted to know why he was going after Anastasia.
Anastasia had just stepped out of the hall when she heard a man's icy voice calling for her. "Stop there." She instinctively turned around to see Elliot walking over to her. He looked like a prince under the dim light, and his icy glare was fixed on her as he spoke to her in an interrogative tone. "Did you really say yes to Nigel's proposal?"
